Come and join the Joondalup Festival fun!

We are on the lookout for dynamic people and businesses who want to contribute to Joondalup Festival 2024 and beyond. If you’re an artist, performer, local business, venue or potential sponsor, we want to hear from you!

Please note, this is a standing EOI submission – meaning that you can submit any time of the year for future consideration.

Calling All Artists

Expressions of Interest for artists are now open.

There are 3 Artist EOI categories:

1) Site-specific temporary art installation / interactive work of scale

This EOI is for artists who wish to submit a concept for a site-specific immersive installation or interactive work of scale. The installation will be presented over the 3-week period and should consider daytime and night-time hours. The work can be a new concept or touring work.

All projects up to $100,000 will be considered, with the amount covering the end-to-end project management, including concept development, prototypes, artist fees, production fees, materials, labour and travel.

Locations for consideration may include parks, beaches and public buildings within City of Joondalup.

Applicants will be required to upload a project proposal as part of the EOI application. The project proposal shall include:

  • Concept
  • Project Plan
  • Timeline / Schedule
  • Cost Guide / Fees

Please note that engineering plans or certifications may need to be obtained.

2) Performer

This EOI is for performing artists to present a new or touring show.

Areas of practice may include but are not limited to:

  • Theatre
  • Roving
  • Children’s entertainment
  • Circus
  • Dance
  • Live Music

Considerations to be addressed in the application include venue requirements, audience engagement and cost guide.

3) Community Participation Work

This EOI is for artists who wish to submit a concept for a project that directly engages with the local community.

For the Community, By the Community, With the Community

Inspired by the idea of producing art for the community, working hand-in-hand with the community and supporting artistic contributions by the community, we are seeking a project that provides an opportunity for public participation in the development and/or presentation of the work.

All art forms will be considered, including but not limited to; temporary public art installations, and musical or performance-based presentations.

All projects up to $100,000 will be considered, with the amount covering the end-to-end project management including concept development, prototypes, artist fees, production fees, materials, labour and travel. Previous community participation works include hART – My Neighbourhood and Soaring: Field of Flight.

Applicants will be required to upload a project proposal as part of the EOI application. The project proposal needs to include:

  • Concept
  • Project Plan
  • Timeline / Schedule
  • Budget
