Originally scheduled in Bunuru, the City is excited to celebrate the end of Kambarang as we move into Birak with this free concert.
Presented by Dr Richard Walley and the Junkadelic Orchestra, the Bunuru concert is a collection of original songs from six Noongar Seasons – Makuru, Djilba, Kambarang, Birak, Bunuru and Djeran.
Developed under the guidance of Noongar Elder Dr Richard Walley these songs use the genre styles of Blues, Choral, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Rock and Hip-hop to tell the traditional history of Aboriginal people and their stories of the six seasons
Backed by the Junkadelic Orchestra, the multicultural 17-piece band features Richard Walley on Didgeridoo as well as Perth’s best vocalists including Tani Walker, Natasha Eldridge, Boox Kid, Adrial Opum and MC Flewnt.
Don’t miss this unique performance that acknowledges the rich history and culture of Aboriginal people and Western Australia’s South Western corner.
