How to buy tickets?

Online

Tickets are available for purchase on the individual event page of the Joondalup Festival website. Tickets will link directly through to Ticketbooth, and will not incur a booking fee and credit card surcharge on payment.

In-person

Tickets can also be purchased at reception at the City of Joondalup Customer Service Centre between business hours, 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Children under the age of 5, will not be required to purchase tickets, but must be accompanied by an adult or 18+  guardian. Tickets will not be available for purchase at the door and the City urges patrons to get in quick and book their spot to avoid disappointment.

Collecting tickets

E-tickets will be emailed to patrons in PDF format once the sale has been processed via Ticketbooth. Patrons will be required to demonstrate their e-ticket and barcode to enter the event. Hard copy tickets will not be mailed to patrons, so please ensure you have a valid email address prior to booking tickets.

Terms and Conditions

The 2022 Joondalup Festival (“Event”) is presented by the City of Joondalup (ABN 64 245 472 416) of 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup WA 6027 (“City”).

These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of all tickets whether purchased online from Ticketbooth or purchased from the City’s Customer Service Centre and cover both purchase and entry to the Venue.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making an event purchase. The City may vary these Terms and Conditions at any time. By purchasing tickets after the Terms and Conditions have been varied, you agree to the variation.

Terms and Conditions of tickets purchased from Ticketbooth are available on their website.

COVID-19

The City will take direction from the state and federal government on any restrictions that may be in effect at the time of the Joondalup Festival. These Terms and Conditions are subject to these changing restrictions.

Due to WA Government COVID-19 Public Health Measures, proof of vaccination (or a medical exemption) for people aged 16 years and over will be required to attend music festivals and large events. Please ensure you are familiar with these and all other Public Health Measures www.wa.gov.au/government/covid-19-coronavirus

Patrons who do not comply with the relevant Public Health Directions will not be able to attend the Event and will not be entitled to claim a refund.

Contact Register

All patrons will be required to sign in upon arrival by checking-in through the ServiceWA app or manual contact register. Failure to comply with this may result in refusal of entry. To view more information regarding the sign in process and application, visit the WA government website.

When am I eligible for a refund?

If a ticket holder tests positive to COVID-19 prior to the event date and is not able to attend the event as a result of the positive test, that person will be entitled to apply for a refund, upon provision of satisfactory documentation verifying the positive test, by emailing cultural.events@joondalup.wa.gov.au with the booking reference number.

Patrons will be contacted and refunded the full amount of their ticket/s, should the City of Joondalup cancel an event due to COVID-19 or any other reason.

If you are feeling unwell, you may request a refund by emailing info@joondalup.wa.gov.au if any of the below apply:

  • Have tested positive for COVID-19 or are waiting for COVID-19 test results
  • Have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19
  • Are required to self-isolate or quarantine
  • Are displaying COVID-19 symptoms

Ticket Purchase

  • There is a limit of six tickets per person per transaction.
  • Children aged 5 years and under are permitted to the event for free without a ticket but must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket, excluding events at The Gold Digger Tent.
  • Children 6 years and above require a ticket, which is to be purchased by an adult in conjunction with a general admission adult ticket, excluding events at The Gold Digger Tent.
  • Patrons aged 18 years and over require a general admission adult ticket.
  • The City honours the Companion Card fair ticketing scheme. Ticket purchases made by a valid Companion Card holder are eligible to receive a second, complimentary ticket to the Event for a carer or companion (subject to availability). A valid Companion Card or Companion Card Number must be produced at the time of booking to gain access to the Companion Card Scheme offer. If requested, the Companion Card bearer must be able to present the Companion Card to gate staff upon entry into the Event.
  • The City can only assist with tickets purchased through the Ticketbooth or in person/over the phone through the City’s Customer Service Centre. Where tickets have been purchased through an alternative ticketing agency, all contact should be directed to that agency.

Ticket Resales

  • Tickets should only be purchased through Ticketbooth or the City’s Customer Service Centre. The City will not be held liable in the event an unofficial ticket is purchased through an unauthorised ticketing outlet. The City has the right to refuse entry into the event and to cancel any tickets that have been re-sold or unofficially distributed at their discretion without refund.
  • Tickets may not, without City of Joondalup’s written consent, be on-sold at a premium, offered as a prize or inducement, packaged or otherwise used for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes. City of Joondalup reserves the right to refuse admission to the bearer of any ticket sold or otherwise provided or distributed in breach of this condition.
  • If the tickets purchased are gifted, the recipient is bound by Ticketbooth’s and the City’s Terms and Conditions.
  • If you have purchased a ticket and can no longer attend the Event, you can pass on your ticket or sell it to a friend in accordance with reselling laws. You will be liable for all refunds in the event of a cancellation. If there’s a change to the Event you will be responsible for passing this information onto the ticket holder.

Ticket Confirmation

When purchasing your tickets, you are required to supply a working email address so an order confirmation and e-ticket for entry into the event can be emailed to you, following the completion of your payment transaction(s). If this email is not received, you should check your junk/spam folder or contact Ticketbooth.

Lost tickets can be re-issued by contacting Ticketbooth.

Printed and Digital Tickets

Ticketed proof is required for most Venues in the form of an e-ticket or printed hard copy.

  1. E-tickets can be downloaded online as a PDF and/or printed out.
  2. Alternatively, customers who require assistance can visit the City of Joondalup Customer Service Centre during business hours to purchase tickets. The City’s Customer Service Centre is located at the Joondalup Administration Building, 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup. Opening hours: 8:30 pam – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Refunds and Exchanges

  • Without limiting your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law, there is no right of refund on tickets, unless the event is cancelled, rescheduled or impacted by COVID-19.
  • The City reserves the right to vary, substitute or withdraw advertised artists, venue, and seating arrangements as necessary. Any such variations, substitutions or withdrawals will be communicated to ticket holders in direct email communications and advertised through social media. A change in the roster of performing artist does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
  • A change in personal circumstances or a change of mind does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
  • Dislike or dissatisfaction of the Event does not entitle the purchaser to a refund.
  • An offer of a refund is only valid if it comes from a City staff member, via email from a ‘@joondalup.wa.gov.au’ email address.

Cancellation Policy

  • In accordance with the Western Australian Government health advice, precautions may need to be taken.
  • Events shall proceed “rain or shine” unless conditions become dangerous. Should the Event be cancelled, rescheduling is not guaranteed. In the event of a rescheduled performance, tickets will remain valid. If the Event is cancelled, all patrons are eligible for a refund and details of the refund process will be communicated via Ticketbooth and the City’s website and social media platforms.
  • In the event of a cancellation, the City will undertake reasonable measures to contact ticket holders as soon as possible.
  • The City collects your personal information in case of an event cancellation or change. If you fail to supply sufficient and appropriate contact information, the City is not responsible for failure to notify you.
  • If you did not supply your contact details when making the purchase, you will need to get in touch with us via cultural.events@joondalup.wa.gov.au to receive a refund.

Venue Conditions

Venue conditions vary for each event, see the event page to find out more about specific requirements.

  • In attending the events, you grant the City of Joondalup permission to film or photograph you, and to reproduce that film or photograph in any audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction in any medium or context without further authorisation by, or compensation to you.
  • No unauthorised audio, video or photographic recordings of the artists’ performance are permitted.
  • Patrons enter the Venue at their own risk and the City of Joondalup will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered or incurred.
  • Patrons must remain inside the marked areas of most venues at all times and follow instructions from event staff and/or security staff.
  • Children must remain under close adult supervision at all times.
  • The City reserves the right to check bags for prohibited items for safety and security purposes.
  • The right to refuse entry or to evict a consumer is reserved by venue management as provided in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. Consumers’ refused entry or evicted from the Venue will not be entitled to receive a refund.

Registered Events

Registration is required to ensure that events do not exceed capacity restrictions. Patrons may present a Ticketbooth e-ticket in hardcopy or via an electronic device for scanning to gain entry to the Venue. Patrons who haven’t registered may be able to gain entry to the venue on the day, pending availability. To avoid disappointment, it is highly recommended to register for these events.

Ticketed Events

Only valid ticket holders will be granted admission into ticketed venues. Patrons may present a Ticketbooth e-ticket in hardcopy or via an electronic device for scanning to gain entry to the Venue.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept Ticketbooth’s and the City’s Terms and Conditions in your personal capacity, the capacity of any person in which tickets are intended for and on behalf of any accompanying minor.

2022 JOONDALUP FESTIVAL GOLD DIGGER CUSTOMER SURVEY TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Joondalup Festival (“Event”) is presented by the City of Joondalup (ABN 64 245 472 416) of 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup WA 6027 (“City”).

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Customer Survey Competition.

  1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for this competition form part of the conditions of entry.
  2. This competition is being run by the City of Joondalup (“Promoter”).
  3. Entries and information on the prize and how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  5. Councillors, staff employed by the City, family members registered to the same rate paying property and related parties are ineligible to enter the competition.
  6. The competition is open to patrons who purchase a ticket, attend and complete customer feedback for the Joondalup Festival 2022 by Sunday 3 April 2022.
  7. The competition commences Wednesday 23 March 2022 and closes Sunday 3 April 2022.
  8.  There will be one winner chosen at random from a database of all eligible customer feedback forms received. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The winner will receive one Westfield Gift Card to the value of $200.00.
  10. Prize components may alter at the discretion of the Promoter.
  11. The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Prizes which are lost, stolen or misplaced will not be replaced or reissued.
  12. The prizes are subject to availability and the Terms and Conditions of the prize giver.
  13.  The winner will be notified by phone, email, or mail of their win by Friday 15 April 2022.
  14. The winner is responsible for arranging the collection of their prize following notification of their winning entry. The Promoter will not be liable for any delivery or travel costs associated with collecting a prize. The winner must collect their prize by Friday 29 April 2022 or it will be judged forfeited.
  15. The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition. By entering this competition, entrants’ consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in these Terms and Conditions.
  16. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability or any goods or services offered as prizes.

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Customer Survey Competition.

GOLD DIGGER COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Promoter: The promoter of this Competition is City of Joondalup (the “Promoter”) (ABN 64 245 472 416 24), 90 Boas Avenue Joondalup WA 6027, Western Australia, Australia.

Terms and Conditions

  1. These terms and conditions govern the competition. All other information provided prior to entering the competition, including any instructions on how to enter the competition, form part of these terms and conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.

Who Can Enter?

  1. Entry is only open to residents of Western Australia, eighteen (18) years and over who:
  2. Follow The City of Joondalup Facebook and/or Instagram Page; and
  3. Tag other users; and
  4. Share the post on Facebook or Instagram (optional for additional entries)

for four tickets to one of the three stated Gold Digger Shows (The Love Rats, Brazilliance! OR Lucy Iffla presents Isn’t She Lovely) to be held at the Gold Digger at Hillarys Boat Harbour.

Employees (and their immediate families) of the promoter and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child, or stepchild (whether natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, stepbrother, or stepsister.

  1. The promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the promoter’s discretion. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
  2. Multiple entries are accepted as long as the entrant has met all the entry criteria on each submission.
  3. The entrant confirms and warrants that they have full power and authority to enter into this agreement and hereby indemnifies the promoter from and against any and all costs and damages incurred as a result of any breach of these terms and conditions.

  • Optional: Share the Instagram and/or Facebook post promoting the competition to win the 4 free tickets.

Competition ends Friday 11 March 2022 at 12noon WST.

How to Win

  1. The Competition commences on Tuesday 8th of March 2022 at 12:00pm WST and closes on ends Friday 11 March 2022 at 12noon WST (“Competition Period”).
  2. To be considered in the competition entrants will need to tag to users in the post and follow the City of Joondalup Facebook Page or Instagram Page. Additional entries you can share the post onto your Facebook Feed or Instagram stories.
  3. The winner will be notified via direct message and will also be announced at the event.
  4. The promoter’s decision is final and is binding on all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants who do not win will not receive any notification at all.

The Prize

  1. Three (3) winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries across the competition period. The winner will win four (4) tickets to a show of their choice out of the following three shows: The Love Rats, Brazilliance! OR Lucy Iffla presents Isn’t She Lovely.

Tickets are worth $15.00 each. Total prize value is $60.00 for each winner.

  1. The prize must be taken as stated and is not transferable to another person (unless agreed to by the promoter) or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed for cash
  2. If a winner is not contactable or the prize is not claimed by the winner within 24 hours of notification, the prize will be forfeited. The promoter reserves the right to reselect an alternative winner as necessary to distribute the prize subject to any directions given by the relevant authority.
  3. If the prize is unavailable for any reason, the promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a gift to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
  4. To attend the shows listed in the prizes, all ticket holders must comply with Department of Health Directions. Before entering this competition visit the Joondalup Festival COVID-safe page for more information.

Release for Promotional Activities

  1. The winner agrees to participate in any promotional activities associated with the prize such as public appearances, photo opportunities or media interviews as might be required by the promoter. The winner agrees to the promoter using the winner’s likeness and image for any purpose related to the prize and competition.

Exclusion of Liability

  1. If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter, the promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law

(a) to disqualify any entrant; or

(b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

  1. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability, for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following:

(a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the promoter’s control);

(b) any theft, unauthorised access, or third-party interference;

(c) any claim or offer that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether after their receipt by the promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter;

(d) any variation in gift value to that stated in these terms and condition;

(e) any tax liability incurred by an entrant; or

(f) use of a prize.

  1. The promoter and its associated agencies shall not be liable in any way if the performance of obligations hereunder is delayed or becomes impossible by reason of any Act of God, war, fire, earthquake, strike, sickness, accident, civil commotion, or any other cause.

Privacy Policy and Consent

  1. The promoter does not collect any personal information in this competition. If your entry is selected as a winning entry, you will be contacted by the promoter via phone and/or email for the purposes of distributing your prize to you.
  2. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of Western Australia, Australia.
