DIFFERENT. UNUSUAL. WE LIKE THAT.
Have an exciting new experience in Joondalup – Perth’s northern home of art, music and performance. With 21 days of incredible shows and activities to discover, there’s bound to be something to tickle your fancy and whet your wonder.
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to dive in.
Joondalup is set to get a big splash of colour as some of WA’s most talented mural artists descend on the CBD over the long weekend.
Come and watch as the steps and paths outside the Joondalup Library and Administration Centre are transformed from mundane to mind-blowing masterpieces by artists: Justin Martin (Djurandi Dreaming), J.D. Penangke, Cale Hummerston and Sioux Tempestt.
On Saturday, join in the colourful fun with games, bubbles, books and interactive painting sessions to help J.D. Penangke create her mural.
Make sure to pop into Joondalup Library to check out Urban Rhythms – a free pop-up exhibition with heaps of information about each of the mural artists, photos of their previous work, sketches and concepts for ARTBEAT and insights into the work that goes into creating large-scale public artworks.
Come on over, baby. It's not that far.
